RIIWHS202D: Enter and Work in Confined Spaces

This unit outlines working in an enclosed or partially enclosed space for work or inspection purposes, entry and exit procedures, assessment of risk and how to operate safely in a confined space which is at atmospheric pressure during occupancy. 
The course involves use of breathing apparatus, harnesses, and retrieval equipment.
Students are required to wear the appropriate PPE. 
Supplied PPE include; ear plugs, riggers gloves, hard hat, high visual vest and safety glasses. Replacement PPE is available for purchase from the front office.
The course includes blended learning involving online and face to face sessions and theory and practical components and is delivered over one (1) day.
Students are required to be physically fit and able to complete the practical component.
Students receive a statement of attainment upon successful completion of the course.
