IntroHortLand: Introduction to Horticulture and Landscaping

This non-accredited course is intended to give you basic skills and knowledge as an introduction to horticulture or landscaping industries.

Introduction:

You will learn about;
  • Weed identification and weed control
  • Cultivating plants and gardens
  • Beautifying and maintaining vegetable and herb gardens
  • PPE – Personal Protective equipment
  • Identify hazards and environmental issues
  • Plan and communicate activities with others at a work site
  • Learn basic machine maintenance and use (mowers and snippers)
